8.40      Welcome and ground rules

8.50      Core Orthopaedic Approaches Hand: Flexor sheath washout, Brunner Incision, Carpal Tunnel Decompression

10.00     Core Orthopaedic Approaches Wrist, Forearm, Elbow: Volar (Henry's) approach to the radius, Forearm Fasciotomies, Kocher

             approach to elbow

11.10     Break

11.40     Core Orthopaedic Approaches Elbow and Shoulder: Deltopectoral approach to shoulder, posterior approach to humerus

13.00    Lunch

13.30     Core Orthopaedic Approaches to Hip: Posterior Approach, Smith- Peterson approach

14.45     Core Orthopaedic Approaches to Knee: Lateral approach to femur, Approaches to proximal tibia

16.00     Break 

16.15     Core Orthopaedic Approaches to Foot/Ankle: Posterolateral approach to the ankle, Lower limb Fasciotomies

Format

The session for each anatomical region is planned to last 1hr 10 mins-1 hr 20 mins, broken down as follows:

20 minute combined oral presentation and demonstration (P)

50-60 minute delegate practice with facilitation and aim to complete instrumentation.

It may be possible to complete simulated PBA's for Fasciotomies, Carpal Tunnel Decompression 

Faculty presenters will be able to complete OOT assessments
