Core Surgical Knowledge Day
Venue: Virtual via Zoom or MS Teams
Date: 20 November 2020
Time: 8.45 for 9.00-16:30
The next Core Surgical Knowledge Day will take place on 20th November 2020. The theme is emergency surgery and will cover principles of Emergency Surgery in General surgery, paediatrics, endocrine, urology and vascular surgery. This training is aimed at Core Surgery Trainees and this is one of your compulsory courses and must be attended during your core training programme. The day will be delivered virtually via Zoom or MS Teams and a meeting link will be sent to those who are successful in gaining a place, once you have signed up.
Prior to attending the day you should all have completed the eLearning modules relevant to emergency surgery. These are available at http://ecancer.org/education/education.php. The aim of the day is to extend your knowledge and decision making process for emergency surgery and aid you in becoming better ST3 trainees (and it will help in your exams and interviews too).
The day is an interactive training day and you will be expected to take part in small group sessions throughout the day. It is encouraged to get involved and try to take as much as possible away from the day that is relevant for you.
There are a maximum number of 25 places on a first come first served basis. Please sign up below.
