Overview
A one-day course that will provide high quality STORZ simulators, VR simulators and a mixture of animal and simulated models. With a Consultant and Senior Registrar Faculty, selected specifically for their expertise and interests in developing Laparoscopic skills, the course aims to provide high-class, focused teaching with a 1:2 teaching ratio. Video clips and feedback will be provided for enhanced learning. This course is designed to increase confidence for your first on-call shifts as a registrar.
Topics to be covered will include:
- Difficult appendectomies
- Control of bleeding
- Fine dissection and suturing
- When to call the boss!
