Overview

A free two-day intensive training programme in key aspects designed to improve your transition to a Consultant post

The Severn School of Surgery runs successful bootcamps to help Core and Specialist Trainees transition into their new role. We would like to invite any ST7s or ST8s in Surgical Specialties in the South West to a free training day.

Day 1
Date:
Thursday, 6th April, 2017
Location: Bristol Medical Simulation Centre
Theme: Introduction to Human Factors

If you haven’t attended Human Factors training previously, this simulation course will provide you with a platform to enhance Human Factors training in the workplace. Limited to 20 places.

 

Day 2
Date: Friday, 7th April, 2017
Location: Hotel du Vin, Bristol
Theme: Registrar to Consultant Transition Day

An innovative day with TPD representatives, newly appointed Consultants, Medico-legal experts and NHS Chief Executive faculty to answer all those questions about Day 1 Consultant life. It will also feature an afternoon leadership and development section led by Professor Canter. (Followed by an evening meal at the Hotel du Vin, Bristol.) Limited to 50 places.
