Overview
The course is designed to improve the training skills for those who teach gastroscopy. We are looking for trainees who would be willing to be taught gastroscopy by the delegates on this course. Trainees would need to have had minimal or no exposure to gastroscopy but plan to learn gastroscopy during their training. You would receive training on gastroscopy techniques and scope handling on models on 3rd June and then have one-to-one training performing gastroscopy on patients for the whole of day 2 ( 4th June). There will be no cost to you. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis and you would be expected to be available for both days. A sponsored course dinner will take place on the evening of the 3rd in Cheltenham.
You will need to be provided with an honorary contract in order to practice at the Trust during that time. Once you have been accepted, prompt return of paperwork would be appreciated.
