Overview
An exciting course (for medical students, foundation doctors and core surgical trainees) developed by the Vascular Society of Great Britain and Ireland which aims to:
- provide an overview of the work undertaken by vascular surgeons
- expose participants to some of the basic skills required to be a vascular surgeon
- outline potential career paths to succeed in vascular surgery
Learning outcomes. At the end of the course participants will be able to:
- Describe a typical vascular surgeons workload
- Recognise what is required to facilitate selection onto a vascular surgical training programme
- Appreciate some of the psychomotor skills necessary to become a vascular surgeon
