Warwick Orthopaedics encompasses research, teaching groups and the development of the treatment of musculoskeletal disease and has 30 consultant surgeons and their teams who work in several hospital locations.

Overview

The courses encourage clinicians to practice evidence-based musculoskeletal medicine and surgery to teach skills to gather and critically appraise evidence of diagnostic and treatment effectiveness, and to use this evidence to guide the management of patients with musculoskeletal problems.

Aimed at

People providing musculoskeletal care in primary care, or those training in orthopaedic surgery or a related hospital specialty.  

Experience

Will accept students with some prior relevant experience, non-medically qualified applicants must have a minimum 3 years experience.  Medically qualified applicants must have completed the post MRCS.

Managing Back Pain

Managing Upper Limb Pain

Managing Lower Limb Pain

Intramedullary Nailing

External Fixation

Postgraduate Awards

A series of evidence-based postgraduate courses on different aspects of orthopaedics surgery and musculoskeletal care can be taken alone as a Postgraduate Award (PGA)or as a specialist option in one of the MSc programmes.
